Catalyst

The 2024 Catalyst Fellowship program, which is part of MIT linQ, fosters the development of enabling technologies to address unmet medical needs, and is open for applications now. Catalyst is appropriate for those with an interest and a willingness to spend time in research, innovation, and health.

There will be a virtual information session on July 12, at 6 pm. You can register here for that session.

Expression of Interest due: July 19; Applications due: August 3

Bring your talents to identify and develop research projects with high potential for healthcare impact.

The Catalyst program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology fosters development of enabling technologies to address unmet medical needs. In Catalyst, diverse teams collaborate to identify new lines of research.

The ideal cohort of Fellows brings multiple perspectives, past experiences, and areas of expertise including engineers, scientists, designers, behaviorists, and clinicians. Candidates should be interested in advancing medicine, but Catalyst does not require prior experience in health-related research.

Catalyst experience highlights:

  • New project discovery unconstrained by a single organization
  • Research directed by Fellows
  • Mentorship and resources of a unique, cross-disciplinary network
  • Proven MIT linQ innovation method for translational research

“The Catalyst experience has been exceptional, and I am happy to be a part of this ecosystem as a Fellow and potentially in any other role I could serve in the future. As a result of Catalyst, I am beginning a pivot into innovation that will define the next arc of my career.”

Akshar Abbott, Opthalmologist in the VHA and Catalyst 2022 Fellow
