Bio

April Gibbons joined IMES as a Human Resources Coordinator after serving as a Human Resources and Operations Assistant in DMSE. Before beginning her career in higher education administration, April spent seven years as a science teacher, where she discovered her passion for supporting students, colleagues, and thriving communities.

At IMES, April enjoys helping faculty, staff, students, scholars, and visitors navigate HR and appointment processes. She brings a warm, organized, and people-centered approach to her work and loves finding ways to make administrative processes feel clear, welcoming, and manageable.

Outside of work, April is an avid runner who has completed both the New York City Marathon and the Boston Marathon. She especially enjoys camping with her family in New Hampshire and spending time with her pup, Poppy, who is her favorite adventure buddy and office assistant in spirit.
