People: Katie O'Reilly

Bio

Katie O'Reilly, an administrative assistant for Marzyeh Ghassemi (in addition to a couple of other professors) and the MIT Laboratory for Information Decision Systems (LIDS), joined MIT in 2022 as an Administrative Assistant in to support PIs and their research groups. After earning a Master’s degree in Public Relations at Boston University, Katie worked as a corporate communications specialist for a number of years at a variety of companies including Lockheed Sanders and The American Red Cross Blood Services. One adventure took her to Amsterdam, The Netherlands where she served as an editor for employee publications for Elsevier Science’s international employee population. After living abroad for two years exploring Europe, Katie returned to the United States where she landed a job in Corporate Human Resources. In this role she managed and implemented strategic plans encompassing College Recruiting and Relations, Employee Communications and Events and Community Relations for a rapidly growing company. She left this role to raise her two children and has now rejoined the workforce at MIT.
